no you aren't picky! you just don't want someone to sell you something you don't want...which happens ALL the time! Seller: she will be gaurenteed english, and so will the baby she will throw....1 year later, horse is in training for western or ugh the dreaded hunter!!lololol!!! so no I don't think you are bieng picky, you just don't want to get something you will be unhappy with!!

oh and I found out the sire of that arab/hackney gelding at my barn, it's Hallmark, and there is also a mare in foal to him....but I must say that the gelding has quite poor conformation, he is extremely sway backed, and not very well put together overall, but his movement is pretty decent.

Kind of a personal question, but what is your budget range for purchasing a mare and does she have to be trained or just showing potential?

I cant go any higher than $10,000. Nope she doesnt have to be trained. But she has to be over 2 years but under 6 years and she has to know the basics, like leading, tieing, clipping, bathing, trailering, good for farrier and vet.

I have about 5-6 videos coming this week, should have been here by now, I am going crazy waiting, I cant wait to see them!

Dang, about 7500 over your budget... There is a really nice mare for sale that is already trained and in your age range out of Hey Halleluja out of a Promotion daugher that is a nice mare, I've seen her in person but they want $17,500, although I know the owners WANT her sold, I don't know that they'd go down $7500... She's only an Hour South of me, so about 4-5 hours south of you, so not a rediculous shipping charge involved...

If I had a big enough budget right now, I'd buy her because I like her and she's got trot She was top 5 Region 5 CEP Jr Horse 2006 and was born 2001, so 6 this year. I saw her in 2006 at Puyallup showing the same weekend I was showing dogs and really liked her BUT I had my Dancer girl and my baby Elle and I'm NOT sorry I have them at ALL!

I know between the $15,000 & $20,000 range there is so many amazing horses!

I thought Dancer was CEP horse? Thats what I thought a couple years ago. Mabe if you bred her to a good EP stallion......... you could have your EP baby????

Its not to hard to find 2 year olds in my budget, as soon as they are broke it seems there price jumps 100% So I am going to do the training, much cheaper.

The Jr Open EP class at Nationals this year had a Hackney/Arab as Reserve Champion shown under Tish Kondas if I remember correctly. I think they are neat crosses!
