Yeah I'm just worried more because I don't know what would look good on his head. The halter I have right now is a cheap one and it's thicker but it looked amazing on him. But I've seen some with huge halters and others with really thin and depending on the horse's head some look better than the rest.

If you're showing western I'd get a classic silver show halter. Silver buckles and silver bars. If you really want rindstones you can sometimes find halters with stones set into the silver But you'll pay abit more for a good quaility one.

I second this halter I have this identical halter, very nice quaility. Got it for a great price used Here's mine on my mare.

ETA: I see you've already seen this halter, but it looks very nice And it has the stones that you want
WOW! Gorgeous world quality show halter PIC HEAVY
I'll be showing both english and western showmanship. And that looks really good on her I think as of now I'm debating between the one that another user on here has or the tory one like yours.

I went through about 4 halters before I finally bought a Dale Chavez.
I'm still hunting for another one of the same quality. It's worth every extra cent.
I'm probably going to buy another one eventually anyways because right now I'm just looking for something to get me through this next show season and then I'm going to have to see what I'm going to do. I'm really liking the one with the rhinestones that another user posted in the classifieds even though it isn't the top brand by any means but it will look good and it's exactly what I'm wanting.

When I showed English SMS, I just used a bridle. I really don't remember seeing anyone using a halter, but I am sure it has been done. If using a leather halter, I would think one with stitching would be fine, just no rhinestones....lol

I had never seen anyone using a halter for english showmanship until this year I noticed it alot at english shows and also at some larger shows. Plus my boy does showmanship much better in a halter rather than his bridle.

I always do English in a plain but well fitted leater halter, WITH NO THROAT LATCH SNAP.
