i am looking for show clothes for next summer. i was wondering if you guys could help me decide on what colors.

i am looking for show clothes colors that can go with multiple colored horses. like my lesson horse is a chestnut, but i also might ride a bay, or a grey. it depends on the location and i only have the budget for one English outfit.

i plan on showing in jumping and on the flat english.

i need a jacket and a shirt:

is dark blue or black a better color for a jacket?

and

i was looking at shirt colors and i like a light peach color, but i can't find a shirt thats light peach, only bright, does anyone know where to find a medium green or blue? do you think those would work?

I would go with either
- tan breeches, white shirt, black jacket
or
- white breeches, white, tan, or peach, black jacket

Have you looked on State Line Tack? They have lots of different colors of shirts, Devon-aire does too.

Because you ride an assortment of colored horses, I would suggest to keep it simple. I have seen riders mismatch on certain horse colors, and it doesn't look all too good.
I would stick with a navy blue jacket. Navy works on everyone, lol.
I know you would like a peach shirt, but I woudln't use it with navy. Personally, a light lilac\purple shirt looks great with navy. It goes pretty well with a bay, gray and chestnut. I have a purple shirt and navy show coat- If you want pics, pm me and I'll get you some.
I don't know any people who show in black showcoats in the hunter\eq ring. Personally, I would not buy a black coat.
Tan breeches are fine- as long as they go with your outfit. I have a greener pair and sand colored pair of tailored sportsman show breeches. They do cost a lot (100$ per pair) So if your are on a budget, stick to cotton\lycra blends.
I know where you can get a light blue, green and peach shirt. I have a wonderful blue shirt. Once again if you want pics, pm me.

I have 3 Jackets - one dark blue and pinstriped, one black, one heavy winter jacket Dark blue... I have always had blood (or more red) bays, they look good in blue.

All my shirts are white (guess I'm a traditionalist... they're also cheaper and I can't match). I do have agreen striped one... but I have yet to wear it.

I wear for Showing which consits of everything i show in:
Black Velvet helmet.
Black ribbon in hair(i know how weird lol my mum makes me!)
Black jacket
Black Tie
White shirt
TAN JODPHURS!!!
Tall Black Boots.
Oh yeah and my cheap track gloves which have holes in them lol

if you have a black velvet helmet get a black jacket. i would go with black because it will go with every colour. you can dress it up with coloured shirts.

Attached are the pictures I promised. Hehe photo shoot for my show clothes. I have another blue jacket that has more colors weaved into the navy blue, but I grabbed this one, so that's what you get, lol.
