Should I be concerned?-Filly acted weird this morning

Am I overreacting??? I guess I am just concerned because of our gelding was the one that had reaction to shots/wormer... That was on Tuesday. Our filly did weird things this morning- which I doubt are realated to shots/wormer (cause she's been fine). Anyways, I will try to explain the best that I can and as some of you know, I am new to owning horses, so this may not be anything.

I usually give the two horses a tiny bit of sweet feed and oats in the A.M. The both love this. So I went to put the filly's down in front of her and it's almost like she couldn't see (I know horses can't see directly in front but this has been the normall routine for months). I then moved it and she was "sniffing" for it but seemed like she couldn't find it and I don't know if she just wasn't interested today or if there was something else. That's not the weird part...

The thing that had me more concerned is that she was kind of "teetering" on her front legs. She was rocking back and forth on them and was very shaky as she was standing there. It kinda seemed as if she was losing her balance and it almost looked like she was going to fall. This continued for about 10-15 minutes. During this time, I put hay out. She was a little stand offish from the hay at first also (which she never is), but she started eating now and seems okay. I should also mention that she was pawing at the ground a little.

Do horses do this sometimes because they are being picky on that particular day or does this seem like odd behavior? I did check her out-picking up hooves and going over the rest of her body to see if there was anything wrong- but she's fine.

I thought it was strange to that the gelding wasn't moving her away from the food like he usually always does (they have numerous piles to choose from so she can always eat- he's not mean-just herds her a little). Probably just coincidence

Am I just the worry wart horse owner??

Was it a particularly cold night last night?

I know in my area we got a nasty wet rain that left a sheet of ice on everyone.

I expect my horses to be a bit off their grain.

She may have gotten kicked just right to have caused some damage. I would definitely watch her closely, maybe put a precaution call into the vet. And see if she doesn't normal out later in the day.

Yeah, the multiple odd things would have me worried. I would call the vet out just in case.

its possible shes got a very stiff neck- they can act weird like that - see if she acts better if you raise the hay up . it can happen later on like that too.

She may just have a stiff neck from the needles. But the teeterin on the front legs seems a little odd. Maybe give your vet a call to get some advice about it. Hope she's O.K.
