You can get five sets out of a full size sheet and if you aer like me I have about a million flat sheets I can cut up

also keep it mind that you can reuse the sheets after you cut them, I take mine out hand wash them and hangn to dry... then a week later I redo tails and they are good to go

You can, but I wouldn't. Vet wrap wouldn't breath very well and it would probably fall out. Plus, it would be a pain to braid it.
And, a sheet from wal-mart would cost you way less than vet wrap, and a sheet can be washed and re-used.

I want to do this, but what about during show season when my horses tail is out every weekend or so? Is it even worth it when my lycra tail bag takes mere minutes to put it? And how does the top hair (where you attach) fair during bad fly season? Thanks!
