Shedding Blade

Ok, now i know this may be the dumbest question on the history of HGS, but I want ot make sure im doing this right.

When using a shedding blade, you stroke in short strokes, right? Or long ones?

I do long ones, only across my horses neck belly and rump. If your trying to get crud out I sometimes will do gentle short ones.

My guys get all fidgety with the shedding blades. I use the shedding stone. No sharp edges.

I do long ones on most areas. Short ones on the forearm, cheeks (lightly) and on areas where it's really thick like the top of the butt.

If your horse says no, you either asked the wrong question...or asked the question wrong.

I first lift the dirt up using a rubber big nubby cury. I use circular motions. They seem to like the message. Then I use the shedding blade but not over any boney areas. Then I use a stiff brush then a fine brush. I do the manes and tails using baby oil. I have a cloth glove that I use on their faces. Then while the oil is still on my hands I rub there bods! Welcome to Launa's Horse Spa! Ahhh!
