Yep! That's exactly what I did. You recommended 3lbs and it's working out perfectly. She is starting to gain weight and her coat, skin, mane and tail look extremely healthy, so it was a perfect amount.

That is a lot of food for a horse (especially a youngster) to be eating. Combine that with being soaked means that it's even more volume. The amount isn't really worrisome as 1/2 of it is roughage, the other 1/2 is forage based (there might be some corn in the LMF depending upon what mill yours is coming from) so really nothing to worry about there. It's just going to take awhile to put that much feed away!

haha my mare eats her grain in like 30seconds haha if shes slow lower her amountage.
