Player is my "once in a lifetime horse". He was my first reiner and I've ridden him off and on for the last three years. Currently I'm back in the saddle with him and we're on our way to the QH Youth World, which was not the original plan, haha, but fate keeps putting us back together. He just keeps getting better and better. My trainer, Terry, showed him yesterday and marked a 72 in the Novice Horse Open and won it(I wasn't at the show, I went to my favorite band's concert). If you told the guy that we bought Player from 3 years ago that he marked that score, he wouldn't believe us. He was cranky, and inconsistent with his old owners. He'd often cheat them in the pen. He was one of those horses that if I was looking at with a trainer that the trainer would steer us clear from, but we didn't know better at the time. I've never been so connected with any other horse and I trusted him. He follows me around without a halter, and if I run, he trots after me. He lets me mess with him and do all kinds of things that I wouldn't do with Whiz or any other horse. He tries his guts out for Terry and I when either of us shows him and he's become so consistent. He will always have a place in my heart.

Honestly, I don't really have that complete 100% bond with my horse yet. Maybe one day, but right now - he's just my baby, and I love him.

Awesome stories and pictures, everyone!
