Hmmm. Possible husband for my mare in the future? We'll see!
Literally went with Edgar (he had a carrot) into his pasture and hung out with Landkonig for a while with Darlene scratching his neck on one side and me petting the other. No halter; nothing! Really he has an exceptional gentle disposition for a stallion. Disposition is so very important in stallion selection; don't you think? All of their other stallions of course were very nice and well tempered; too!

AGREE!!! Disposition is first and foremost on the requirement list. Your original comment really got me looking at him as a potential sire in the future.

He has an amazing jump, and he is strong conformationally in all the areas I am looking at in a stallion. Nice shoulder, short back, nice croup, height. I have a thing for strong, compact builds. He fits that discription to a T. Looks like he really stamps his foals too. I'm glad you posted that comment and brought him to my attention!

It is a shame that many mare owners fail to look into the temperament of stallions they are interested in breeding to. I think they are certainly missing a big piece of the puzzle of what is important.

Besides the qualities above AND his outstanding temperament he also has really nice legs/feet. Just the perfect amount of bone (very strong but not clunky) and lovely angles. Forgot to mention he has 'cute' little fox ears. Darlene noticed those while I admired him.

I LOVE this young guy right now, but I am biased as my mare is having a foal by him this year. He's just looking better and better!

I truly love my mare, she is the most talented horse I've ever owned, but the reason I feel I'm so close with her is because of her outstanding personality. She is a real character! Very sweet, always entertaining, and extremely smart to boot.

Hooves are also VERY important to me. After owning a horse with brittle hooves I know for a fact that the old saying rings true: "No hoof, no horse."

Thankfully Bella has very nice hooves. She actually receives compliments from her farrier. I consider that a real blessing.
