I had a GREAT time yesterday! I watched the vet float teeth and give vacs. I even got to see her pull the wolf teeth out of a youngen. And I saw her take stitches out and take care of dogs, cats, donkies, and goats. And I got REAL good at opening up needles and filling them up for her.

Here are ALL the horses(and other animals) yes, I remembered ALL of them!...

Maple-8 y/o pinto saddlebred mare, vacs and teeth floated
Chappie-15 y/o chestnut QH gelding, got vacs
Jacob- About 10 y/o bay Arabian gelding, got vacs
Cookie Dough-13 y/o FAT sorrel pony mare, got vacs(we had to corner her in a shed to get her. She doesn't really get any human contact)
Irish-7 y/0 bay gelding WB cross, got vacs, teeth floated and sheath checked(owner finished his sheath though)
Sadona-11 month old bay QH gelding, got vacs and wolf teeth pulled then checked for lice(which he had)
Bugsy-5 y/o pinto QH gelding, got vacs and teeth floated
Strawberry-20 y/o strawberry roan QH mare, vacs and teeth
Skye-13 y/o bay TB mare, vacs and teeth
Ace-6 y/o chestnut QH gelding, vacs
Mr. Jingle Jag- 5 y/o Paint gelding, vacs(he has a cool story. He was in a 16 stall barn when a torando hit and picked up the barn w/ him and he survived with only several scratches! He's a beautiful horse!)
Ditto-2 y/o Paint gelding, vacs(he was a lil' pain, almsot got the vet when he jumped up)
Duce-7 y/o chestnut QH gelding, vacs
Eddie and Harry- mini donkies that we had to chase and corner for their vacs
Lady Guneviere- 22 y/o palomino QH mare, vacs
Apache- 9 y/o Paint gelding, vacs
Go Man- 11 y/o Paint gelding, vacs
Sizzle-9 month old Paint filly, vacs
Danu-20(+) chestnut QH gelding, vacs
And their cat(who had the cutest lil' kittens) got rabies vac
Calvin Klein-20 y/o POA got stitches out from eye socket(he has kinda a sad story) he was so adorable!
Blue-5 y/o Paint gelding(GOREOUS!), vacs and teeth checked
Jack-3 y/o Paint gelding, vacs and teeth floated
Their Aussie shephard, Corgi, and jack russel(vicious lil' rat!) all got vacs
Earthquake, T-bone, Cubcake-All mixed breeds, all OLD, all got vacs and checked for coughing
Lady-11 y/o rose grey QH mare(I used to ride her at work when she was too sour for lessons, then one of the instructors bought her) teeth floated
Sin Bad-15-17 y/o Morgan cross Arab gelding, teeth floated
Amigo-13 y/o Spanigh horse gelding(he was so cute!) vacs and wormer
Friendly-14 y/o Appy gelding, vacs and wormer
Gorgeous- 7 y/o Appy gelding, vacs and wormer
Cocoa Puff(he was also at work as a cart horse before his coteracts got so bad he was getting too spooky, he looks so good though!)-vacs and wormer
Delta and Nibbles-goats, vacs and wormer
Riley- 8 y/o WB bay cross gelding, vacs
Ollie-20(+) y/o bay TB cross WB, vacs
Ches-20(+) y/o chestnut TB gelding, vacs

It was a long but fun day. And I want to do it again! And now I know how to give shots to a horse! I didn't get to do it myself though. And I got to help a bit with holding up the horse's head and holding horses for the vet.

oh wow, that sounds like an interesting day!!!! i would LOVE to do a job shadow with an equine hospital to see what all goes on. i love animals,horses especially!!!
