Question Sergeants?

Got this weird email today. -- from Sergeants. I thought they went out of business . The email directed to this site: http://www.sergeantswestern.com/default.asp

Looks a lot like this one: www.smithbrothers.com The Sergeants site features a lot of the same products as Smith Bros. Anybody know what's going on? I'm feeling a bit confused

I loved Sergeants and was sad to see them gone. Are they really gone?

^^Thanks!

When did that happen?

It doesn't look like they carry the same quality stuff that the original Sergeants carried.

Smith Bros bought the Sergeant's customer list when Sergeant's went out of business. The stuff is not the same quality. The saddle maker has gone off on his own. The silver mesa bags and stuff are not the same.

I LOVED shopping their going out of business sales though! I got some GREAT deals!!!

What is the name of the saddle maker? Are his saddle still available for purchase? I really like the Sergeant's show saddles that pop up from time to time on eBay and tacktrader.

-sigh- You had me all excited that could purchase Silver Mesa blankets and bags again. My favorite stable blanket EVER, and it came in the right colors too (that no one else makes).

I too would like the name of the saddle maker if possible, hands down Silver Mesa was my favorite brand of tack.

I was pretty excited when I checked my email. . . until I clicked on the link. Smith Bros is alright, but definitely not what Sergeant's was. Sorry to get your hopes up.

http://www.elitesaddles.com/ Here are the saddles.

Also, apparently the Pilot Point store is under a new name (Dennards) and still have the Silver Mesa bags listed under the "Futurity" line. The tel no is 940-365-3636.
