Go wild September 26th!

Wild horse and humane animal advocacy groups from across the nation are joining forces for a single cause: to encourage the American public to consider and act on the adoption of a wild horse or burro. A goal of 1,000 adoptions has been set for the first National Wild Horse Adoption Day to be held September 26, 2009.

The BLM will be holding 20 adoptions across the country plus other mustang related events.

Still waiting for the official numbers. New Jersey had an 80% adoption rate... but that was only 4 out of 5 gentled mustangs. (The fifth was going to be tough because she does have a medical problem, hopefully she will get a home though, otherwise her foster mom will adopt her.)
