Senior feed? (Sorry, I know, ANOTHER feed Q!!)

Would it be OK for a 3 year old to have senior feed? I know this question sounds really dumb, but if I get this 3 year old app, it's gonna be hard to give her a specific type of feed, since all of the horses are fed in the same place (run in).

Sunny and Red both get senior feed, so would it be OK if a 3 year old had some, too? lol Gosh I can't believe how ridiculous I sound saying that lol

Thanks in advance

By the way-I use Triple Crown Senior Feed

Yeah, if I do end up doing it, she would only get like half a scoop. Thanks

the place where I board is purposely feeding her 12 month old senior feed (dont know why) so I don't think it would hurt your three year old.

yup, that helped...I would say give her about 1/4-1/3 of the container! Hope I helped this time!

when i had my older horse he got senior feed.. he would eat outside of the fence.. but my baby gets youth feed so i stand next to him to make sure that no one else eats it.. why don't you just stand between them and make sure that everyone gets their own grain

Because i'm not the one that feeds them, Tom does, and I don't want to cause him any trouble. He lets me keep my horses there for free, so i'm not going to ask any extra favors lol that's basically why i'm asking in the first place

it won't hurt. Senior feed is "easier to digest" as a whole, plus many are fat added. So overall, no there isn't any issues.

As for how much to feed....again, FEED BY WEIGHT not volume.
