He is a Beautiful boy! I have always been lucky with mine on the first try. And its nice that they stay at home and you dont have to haul them to the stud. They just called and are shipping mine right now so I should have it by 9:00am. I'll just be glad when its all done. One minute your waiting on a baby then you cant wait to get them bred back.

I just drooled all over my keyboard.... I am in LOVE with that stallion! He is hot stuff all right!

I hope everything goes well. Now I have to try to find an AI vet in my area, for when I get my registered Haffie mare, lol!

I was stressed last week because the weather has been rotten and all we caught was her transitional heat cycle and I was not going to try and breed on that cycle. Then the stallion owner went on vacation abroad from May 2nd to May 11th. And then she started showing on Saturday well the vet was open that day, but I went ahead and gave the stallion owner a heads up. She emailed on her way home and said that she would be happy to forego the 2 days collection notice and she could collect and ship on Monday if we needed! Thank goodness for that!

Libby was bred 2 years ago, her original owner bred her she had a stunningly cute foal. Here are a couple of pics of her.

I have super high hopes for this baby! And I can't decide if I want a filly or a colt (which will be gelded). Anyway she had no problems settling her very first time being bred and she foaled out very well. So I am hoping for the same thing! And the vet said he doesn't see any reason why she shouldn't settle unless she drops the follicle before we get her AI'd.

One good thing for us (don't know if you had this option) her onsite vet checks the swimmers motility and then when they get here my vet checks them again. If it's not good she will reship at no cost to us.

So how many days do you have to wait to see if she's in foal?

LOL...hope your keyboard still works. It's funny when we were going over different stallions to bred Libby to and which one's she wouldn't cross well with. I looked at probably 10 different stallions and Avanti was total love at first sight.

Tina, they should be doing that anyways! (Checking before they ship), it's the only way to know how to extend the semen correctly And hopefully your vet's checking the incoming on arrival and once it's warmed up. Im sure she'll catch with one go. Any mare caught at the right time with good semen should. And if Libby's like Page, she'll just suck those little swimmers up and love them for 11 months
