Sea Ticks..

Country has been breaking out sooo badly in bumps. Every time I go out he has them in a different place. I feel so bad for him.. my trainer says it's sea ticks. How do I prevent him from getting these? My old horse never has a problem with it, but Country looks REALLY bad. I spray him with fly spray before and after, but it's not enough I guess. This is the fly spray I use: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...CMZZZZZZZ_.jpg It says it helps with ticks, but obiously not.. are there any really good fly sprays for that? The vet recomended a wormer to give him, and we're going to use that.. Any other tips greatly appreciated. If you guys need it, I can get pictures next time I go out..

^ Yeah. They don't live scabs, though.. or at least I haven't noticed.

I am going through the same thing with my TB mare except she swells up so badly she has to have steroids. When we finally did discover that it was ticks (seed ticks) that were causing the problem my vet recommended that I use Frontline Spray for dogs on her. I have to use it on her entire body but he said that just spraying the legs of my other horses would help keep their breakouts to a minimum.
