Schooling before a show???

Hi, i just wanted to know.. i have a show comming up as some of you are aware of because of recent posts, and i have a schooling round the night before the actual show.. apparently there is no judge on the site, so it is not being judged.. so i wanted to know, what exactly IS a schooling.. i've heard about it everywhere, and usually was riding calm horses that "didn't need to be schooled" at shows, but now i'm riding Ozzy and he tends to get a little highstrung and my teacher said i have to go to a schooling.. so i was wondering about what exactly it is..

also, do you usually have to wear blouses and show jackets and extra polished boots, or is it just as if you are going to your lesson?

I am speaking about a english saddle Hunter/Equitation show........

ask your instructor what you should wear...for our "schooling" shows, we have one of the better competitors, or a judge, act as judge, and after each class, he goes over things that stuck out at him, wether it be bad or good, but thats our minis..so, i dont know what it would be for you
