| Full Member | Scared of his own shadow... Scottie has developed a fear of his own shadow over the winter. Last summer he wasn't spooky at all, but for some reason every time we go to turn towards his shadow he refuses. At first I just attempted putting more leg on him to try to move in that direction. But he won't have any of it, and I'm on wit's end. When I try to ask more forcibly, (even more leg, adding reins,) he starts swinging his head like he's going to start bucking. So I just started doing a tight circle in the opposite direction, so that we end up going the same way I wanted to go, which works, but I want a better method. I'm not sure how I can get him over this fear, any suggestions? |

| Senior Member+ | I didnt think you were being literal! lol I have never heard of this, but working directly at noon, when the sun is straight over head might do it... Seriously though...the shadowroll may do it. Is it just his own shadow or all shadows? May need to have his eyesight checked. |
