| Senior Member+  | Sam trashed the Derby course on Saturday - lol!!!
I took Sam to a Derby on Saturday. We did a couple of clear rounds to warm up and one of my friend's daughter (she is 13 and a nice rider) asked if she could have a shot on Sam as her horse was lame. I let her do a clear round and she did well so I said she could take Sam into the 20cm (!!!!) Derby. She was sooo excited. Well in they went - poor Sam - the fences were so low I dont think he even saw them as he hit every single one with his hind legs as he cantered over (he never even attempted a jump) Quite a few of them fell as he smacked them and he ended up with 16 faults - the worst round out of everyone and most of the entries were children of between 5 and 8 years old on tiny ponies! |
