Some people do.
Others ask because they are not sure and figure someone here on the forum will know and answer their question. It is also a way for some who are shy to interact with the other forum members and it provides those who own a particular breed or have first hand experience to share it with others on the forum.

I have no problem helping others with finding information online and I will add that it is interesting to learn that while you have no problem using an internet search engline you do seem to sometimes have a problem following "The Thumper Rule."
(and if you do not know what it is.....it is so very nice to know that you can look it up yourself to find out..... )
