saddle pads for pillows?

I saw this on one of those room makeover shows. The girl really loved horsebackriding so they did a English jumping/horse theme. For some pillows they had three saddle pads like these.

They sewed them together and then stuffed them as pillows. I thought it was a pretty neat idea at first but then I thought, well it's kinda a waste but it's still creative. What do you guys think? And do you know of any other ideas like this for redoing your room?

i think it would have been cool. they are nice pads, and some are expensive to be turning into pillows.

I think that's neat! I would love to fall asleep on a saddle pad .

Yeah that's true Jig. And I guess it wouldn't be such a waste if you only made one or two. (or to me anyway )

ooo...you know the full fleece "contoured" pads that are shaped like the saddles? I have a purple one that is VERY soft and velvety. THAT would make an AWESOME pillow!

**makes note to find the maker of my saddle pad for pillows**

Lol cool! Sounds like a good pad to make into a pillow. It'll be nice and soft

Oooohhhhh...yeah, those would make amazing pillows! They're so thick, you'd barely need to stuff them!
