Question Saddle flipping?

I have an interesting question...

I have an offer for a wintec isabell at a price that is WoW (including shipping!) It includes the whole gullet system, measuring tool, two girths and a bottle of wintec cleaner.

The thing is, the seat size is at least 1 whole inch too big...

I would feel like a dummy refusing the deal. Would it be wise to get it anyway and try to sell the saddle for enough to buy one in the correct size?

Take it and try it and if it doesn't work you can always resell!

I sat in one at the tack store and I was totally swimming in it. I COULD ride in it, but it wouldn't be good for me.

I know I'd need to sell it.

I say DO IT. You can most likely sell it and get what you need. There is always eBay, lol!

Just check to make sure it is still a good price compared to the ones on ebay But those saddles are quite popular and I'm sure it will sell.

Depending on the price you'd be wanting for it as well as the size, I might be interested in getting it off of you.

I have actually done this several times, usually with a saddle that I thought 'might' work for me though. I've never sold them for a lot more than I got them for though.

But if you were to split the package up and raise the prices a small percentage, you could likely get some good money to go toward the saddle you need.

research resale... if that size/tree/model/color is currently selling reliably at a price you can deal with, then I'd go for it.

1" bigger than another Isabell you rode, or just 1" bigger than your current saddle? Most people take a larger Isabell than AP or Pro or 500, or other saddles. The Isabell seat is deep and the stirrup bars are set back further. But you probably knew that already.
