I don't think you'll be able to find any saddle other than a dressage one that will give you the same benifits. They do have things that you attach to the dee rings on the saddle that you can hold onto. I would suggest that. Let me find a picture for you...

Ok, here it is. I doubt it would do any good but I think it's better than using a western or austrailan saddle.

I got for trail rides in my Dressage saddle. I must be weird LOL.

Wintec saddle are light and inexpensive. I would go with that - and just make sure the stirrups aren't hung forward for some wierd reason (I HATE when the western saddle makers do that) because that will feel strange and hard to sit.

Barrel saddles have deep seats with higher backs. The downside is the fenders are made to be forward.
