Question Sabino or Bay roan??

I saw a thread where someone posted a horse as being a red roan, and then someone else said no shes a sabino and showed pictures of a "true" roan. Well, this got me wondering if my horse is considered a roan or a sabino. I have pictures and ill post close ups and far away ones so can u guys tell me what u think she is considered?? Thanks!!!

I vote neither...!
To me it is a blanketed Appaloosa!
The horse appears to be an Appaloosa...with Appaloosa's there can be some roaning depending on the color pattern.
You might want to look up more online about the breed and it's unique coloring and patterns.

You have a BAY appaloosa, so the base color is bay....and yes, there is some roaning but to the best of my knowledge, the Appaloosa is not called a roan per-say but described by the color and color pattern: Bay Appaloosa with a blanket with spots....that is how it would be described not as a bay roan.
I could be wrong, but that is how I would describe your horse and tell people what color it was if I was asked.

She's an Appy with roaning (not a roan). The difference between having roaning and being a roan is genetic but is usually most easily told by the amount of white hairs. A horse that carries the appy pattern gene will not also carry the roan gene. It can carry other genes that will cause roaning though. Same as a Sabino. Sabinos are not roans. But the Sabino can carry the gene that causes roaning.
