Rope Halters

What are your thoughts on them. Personally I love them. I like them a lot better than any other halter I've used.

I'm sorry, when is a halter not a training tool?

I'm not a fan of rope halters purely because I don't like the way they look. I'm stuck up that way. Hahah.

I've used them and they are excellent training tools. But, I think they're ugly and make most horses' heads look plain, so I really don't use one unless I need it. Shallow much?

We use them at school because sometimes we're assigned or have to work with multiple horses and since the rope halters are easier to adjust, it's more "practical" i guess, to have them so we don't have to buy different halters for all of our horses. We've got a few leather halters and a ton of nylon halters out there as well though, and both of the horses i was assigned this quarter have nylon-and i'll be buying them new show halters soon for our upcoming show.
I also use a rope halter on JP, sometimes-i just like the way it looks on him-he's an arab with a dainty little head and i like how the thinner rope looks on him!! i don't use anything but nylon or leather on breyer though...

I use both Nylon and rope halters.

Rope halters are great for teaching horses to tie and ground work.

I use nylon ones for grooming and daily handling.

I love rope halters!

Call me crazy... but I like the look of a rope halter better

But that's not the only reason I love them. They are wonderful for training and everyday use, horse's really respect them. And best of all, they don't BREAK!! I have had so many buckles and snaps break on regular halters that I only use those if I have to.

I also make all my own rope halters so it's cheap
