My trainer had to put down one of her horses today...  Blaze's stomach ruptured. She was about 15. I was just so surprised when I heard about it! I'm so worried about my trainer's 5 year old son-he was really attached to Blaze, and she loved him too-you could just tell that there was something special between them. She would do things for him that she refused to do for other people. He's been showing her in a few classes at our shows, and he was gonna keep showing her. I just hope he doesn't take this too hard... Can someone tell me exactly what could cause a stomach to rupture?? We haven't had a chance to talk to my trainer to see what exactly happened.

Awww, poor Blaze. I hope your trainers son is taking this okay, that's such a young age to lose a horse. Rest In Peace Blaze. Prayers are being sent your way!

Well, I talked to my cousin today, who was there, who also used to own Blaze, and she told me all about what happened. I'm not gonna go completely into detail with the whole story, but Blaze had ulcers in her stomach, so that was a big factor in it. I don't really know how her 5-year old's doing, but I know she made sure that he wasn't around to see Blaze in that state....

my favorite horse named copper died of this. it was just another form of colic for him. i miss him so much, im sorry this has happened to you all also.
