Riding Gloves

I had a lesson today in the freeeezing cold- what fun april weather. I couldn't find my gloves before I left, so I borrowed my trainers. They were amazing! They were crochet gloves, she said they were from stateline. I looked a bit and couldn't find them, but I thought I'd get your opinion. I'm looking for something practical, but they don't need to look nice. What do you reccomend? They won't get heavy use, so I'd like something fairly inexpensive, for sure no more than $15. Just something to toss on for a chilly day.

Also, what do you know about sizing? If I would take a medium to large in ladies, any guesses as to my glove size or how I might figure it out?

You can get the crocheted ones from just about anywhere, they're great and usually run in that price range.

I like to ride in the Ovation crocheted gloves and LOVE them. Only bummer about them is that since I'm so hard on gloves and use them alot I've found the crocheting to wear out in about 4 to 5 months. They are about $14 or so. You can get them from Dover for sure, I dunno if they come from STL or not.

As for your glove size, measure your hand, both STL and Dover will have illustrations in their magazines and on their websites on how to measure your glove size.

SSG Lycrochet UltraFlex Riding Gloves - Dover Saddlery

those are great! I've never had a pair of gloves last more than a season, and these have lasted me over a year!!! They're really comfy too and they have a ton of colors.

Oh you can measure, but I would guess around a 9... I wear a S-M glove and wear a 7 so that's my guess, but I could be really wrong
