![]() | Riding Arena sizes
I ride in an arena that is 70 X 100 seems small but I like the roof on it, its a cover all type of arena. What sizes are out there that you ride in. I know bigger is better and would like to hear from those that ride in the smaller arena's and the problems they encounter if any. |

I would LOVE to have a bigger arena. Hopefully soon! Ours now is only about 30' X 50'. Swayze and I don't have any trouble walking and trotting in there, but when we work on cantering...he can cover the long side in like four strides then the short side in just a couple as well. I feel like we are doing a constant circle. The arena I trailer to and get lessons at is huge though. I'm not sure of the measurements, but I love it.

I don,t have my own arena but we make use of the showgrounds arena. All lovely soft sand and big enough to have rodeos in and FREE to use. Sometimes we have other people in it and you just need to be careful.

My ring is 100x200. That is a standard full-size jumping arena.

The one i school in is 60 X 20 and its fine for me because i'm the only one who uses it. When we build one(if we ever do lol)it will be either 60X30 or 70X 30.
