Talking riding a new horse at the stable

OK I moved pablo to a new stable about a month ago. Well, the first day I was there the lady was showing me the horses that are being boarded. There is this gorgous medium gray Arabx (Ice)and she told me that it is her sisters and she lives about 4hrs away and if I want I can start riding him He is a four year old around 15.3-16hh. He was broke at three but was ridden only a couple of times last year due to his bucking when he starts heading away from the barn. Ice is wonderful. I have ridden him a few times in the arena and did a few small jumps (he would make a great jumper but she just wants him for trails ) -I'll have pics soon-
The first time I rode him it was his first time in over a year. My english saddle didn't fit him so I took his western one. I mounted in a field and rode him around abit, then he got tired of me and started bucking and he got me off, got on for a bit more then had to go home. The barn owner only trail rides western/aussi and told me she had an english saddle in storage and if it fit I could use it It is perfect. I learned Ice is a little more confident with bit contact but spooks at everything.
Well, I desided it was time to take him out on a nice little ride along the pasture and through the hay fields. It was nice -except he spooked at a bush then a tree then at nothing. Ice only bucked once when we were turning back, we did a couple big circles and headed home. He did try trotting and did get ansy going home but I think he did great considering two weeks ago he totally freaked out going fifty feet away from the barn and today he went on a twenty minute trail ride

I have pics from jumping him(small 1'6"). Mom took them-she said she felt like a servent cause she was putting the rail back up every time Ice nocked it down. -it took him a while to realize he should jump over and not through the fence

*just had to share I'm so happy with him and it is nice to be riding...sorry for it being long
