Post Rider Height vs. Horse/Pony Height -- Visuals

I've seen quite a number of threads inquiring about rider & horse height match-ups. Maybe it'd help to have a compiled thread of rider & horse height visuals Obviously horse and rider build play a factor in match-ups, but I think it'd be interesting to see HGS match-ups nevertheless

    For example...

I am 5'2" and my horse is 16.1hh.
I would normally feel that he is too tall for me; however I think my stubborn personality makes up for my petite frame.

My younger sister was 5'5" when this picture was taken of her riding my 16.1hh horse.

My 16.1hh horse's previous rider was near 6'0" tall.

My other horse was roughly 15.2hh (again, I'm 5'2"). As a general matter, I felt this to be a better height match for me.

To compare it, my sister (5'5") on him (15.2hh)

    Let's see your visuals!

    Great idea for a thread!!!

This is me on all of these horses. I'm 5'8 and not a skinny mini, lol.

14.2 hh morgan arabian. I felt considerably too tall, but he was very comfortable holding my weight, he was never unbalanced.

15.3 hh wide appy/TB cross. I feel like I fit him pretty well, but I prefer a taller horse

17 hh TB. Terrible picture, lol. I thought he was unnecessarily tall for me, but I didn't feel uncomfortable on him

16 hh narrow TB. I felt comfortable on him, too.

16.2 hh big-boned yet currently skinny TB. Juuuuust right!

This is Smart Little Lena, only 13.3 and AQHA. Didn't seem to slow him down any, LOL, and that's no shorty riding him.:

I think it really depends on the build of your body, like you said. I am 5'10'', but have more torso than leg. I need not only a tall horse to fill up my leg, but a long horse to take up my upper body.

    doublebarr; 13.3hh!?

    I'm 5ft 5

my 13.2hh games pony - too small for most things, but spot on for games.

14hh - a smidge too small, but it works!

15.3hh - just about right, on the top level of my comfort zone half an inch bigger and he'd be too big.

16.1hh - starting to get a bit too big

from the sublime to the ridiculous, 16.3hh and most definately MUCH too big.

Sadly I dont seem to be able to find a pic of riding the 15hh-15.2hh that would actually be absolutely perfect!

I am 5'7 and Feliche is about 16hh. I feel like I'm a little talkk for him, and would prefer a horse's height to be closer to 16'2or 16'3. That's what matches my height, but I'd be happy to take a horse under 18! That's when it gets just too big for me.

    Here's me on Andre...he's about 16'2 I believe.

And just for fun, here's Zeus!! He's supposed to be I think 18'1. Sorry about the img size.

Me on Lucy, a large bodied 16.3 TB mare.

Me on Rikki, 16.1 TB mare.

On Branson, a HUGE 15.2 Paint gelding. He's so wide it's like trying to straddle the hood of a car lol.

And on Yeggie, a 16.1 1/2 paint mare.

I am roughly 5' 8", however I was probably closer to 5' 6" in the first pics, maybe 5' 7" in the second and last set. The one of me on Brason is the most recent.
