Ride Him or Not?

So I recently found out that a trainer comes out for the BM and her horses periodically, and I would like to give her a chance with Solo. I have brought him as far as I am. I need a trainer from here on out, and so does he.

Now, he pulled a muscle in his back a while back, and then I got hurt, so he's only gotten lunged and ground worked recently (hes doing amazing. Hes going completely off voice command with no line attatched)!

So here is my question:

Should I wait about a month until I can ride him and get him back into work mode before having the trainer get on him, or just have the trainer work with him now while I'm healing and he has a fresh start after being out of real riding work for a while?

I personally would let the trainer start with him while you continue to recover. No sense in him being off for longer than he needs to be and this way you come back from injury with a nicely re-tuned horse.

I was hoping that would be the answer. Thanks!

Its just that Solo has SOOO much potoential to be a GREAT horse, he just needs someone to take him farther than I can teach him while I learn.
