Just wondering how nice he really is

hmm he seems okay, but he's not really very type-y as an irish draught, he's much lighter and more "sporty" than a really good example of a typical irish draught.
He's probably a very nice sports horse producing stallion judging by that though. Its a shame they dont have a pic of him squared up for a confo critique. Almost makes it seem like they have something to hide in that area

Ryu's mare is in foal to him. At least I hope so.

I got scared and thought the title said, "RIP Hang on Johnny!"

I actually saw this horse in person at the MN horse expo. I was there with my Arab barn and everyone was warming up the night before in the Coliseum. For what it is worth he seeemed to have a very nice personality, and a good mind. There were tons of horses there and many of them were acting up but he was 100% with his rider.

As for Irish sport horse type etc. I can't comment as I know nothing about it. Also don't really remember his confo.

Yes, Ruby is in foal the Hang on Johnny. (crossing fingers)

He is a very nicely put together guy. At 16.3HH he has 10" cannons which is a good amount of bone for a RID, I would not call him light at all. He is very harmoiniously put together. Lovely set neck going into the wither, nice shoulder with excellent shoulder freedom. Very powerful hind end coming under easily, straight clean legs with a good amount of bone, and excellent feet.

ETA: He does not have the big barrel chest that some RID have, but he is not slab sidded and has plenty of wind.

He covers a tremendous amount of ground per stride. I got to watch him at a stallion exhibition and when he did an extended trot across the arena it was beathtaking. He gave the impresssion of tons of power. He is a very willing worker, and seems to be a lovely horse to ride.

I have seen Mountain Pearl go many times, and I have to say that Johnny has him beat hands down.

The other nice thing about him is that he isn't Milestone or Errigal blood. He is decended from Ben Purple, and resembles him quite a bit.

Anything else you want to know?
