Reverse Dapples

Is THAT what Lucky has??

I keep getting asked if he's appaloosa, and I just say "No, he's a dapple grey with weird spots..."

The ones on his butt. They are huge patches of white.

If not, what, exactly, is it? Just from him being dapple grey?

I've NEVER seen a dapple with big white spots like his! I just ignored them, or got ticked off at them when they were green and the rest of him clean lol!
So, what's the difference between that and reverse dapples then? Don't reverse dapples look pretty much the same, and just because he's a dappled grey they aren't reverse?

I wasn't saying it was strange. Look at his butt, we're talking about the patches of white.

Reverse dappling is darker in the center. It's typically found on champagne coloured horses.
Here are a couple examples.
