I adopted my Shire mares from
www.gentlegiantsdrafthorserescue.com

I can not say enough about this organization. They are superior in every way.
Here is a link to a article written about the founder and the great things this rescue does for draft horses.

I worked with this group several years ago and would also recommend them. I don't recall all the details but they bought two miserable PMU weanlings at an auction. The rancher had shipped them in an open trailer in freezing rain.

My favorite rescue (i help and train for here) is Deedon Lake Farm. They don't have a website, but they have 35 horses at the moment. When horses are ready to be adopted out they are usually listed on different horse sale sites like Dreamhorse or we just listen up for anyone looking for horses lol. But it is awesome!

We just adopted a Clydesdale mare from Frog Pond Farm Draft Horse rescue and everything went very smoothly and quickly. We are very pleased with the organization in every way.
Our Shire mares were adopted from Gentle Giants Draft horse rescue which I believe I posted about already but just wanted to mention them again in case it was missed. They are top notch.

Not a rescue per say, but sort of. the US Wild Horse and Burro Association fosters/gentles horses for the BLM and offers them for adoption. They also help with repo, relocation, and rehoming of BLM mustangs in need of help. In addition, they have a care fund to help BLM adopters with vet bills when they adopt a horse or burro with health problems. This is a 501 c3 organization. http://www.uswhba.org/
