Post Rescue Remedy

has anyone heard of this natural substance called rescue remedy? its suppose to help calm horses AND people down.. its all herbal and everything..

this sounds really weird but im going to try to take some, i guess you can take 1-2 droplets every 3 hrs and the horse gets like 4 droplets. i'm going to give sarge 2-3 droplets on sunday for the show because its his first away one..

has anyone ever used this stuff? and if you have has it worked for you?

Yes! I used this on my mare last year, she was moody and uptight after I bought her. I didn't actually feed it to her, I just diluted it (2 drops of oil per 10-20ml water) and massaged a few drops along her neck and on her nose, and let her inhale the fumes. It really seemed to calm her down.
Be careful though, make sure it's safe to actually feed to the horse, because there can be side effects.

i used it for myself before. the instructions were onthe bottle. i bought it from a healthcare shop that also treated people with herbal remedies (like a dr)but it was all herbal medicine.
As far as i remember you added a couple of drops to some water or directly on to your toungue every few hours.

I used it on Pic and myself before we went in the ring

It is great stuff - recommended by my vet eek!

With Pic I would put the drops into a carrot, myself just popped the drops on my tongue.

Bach Flowers have loads of remedies(all natural), but the Rescue Rememdy is the most popular - can speak from our experience with it - it did work for both of us - calmed ring nerves down.
(Taste nice too )

There is a post somewhere, with a link to Bach Flower Rememdies(will try and find it for you)

Yes we used to give it to our dog, as she used to hate thunder storms.

it does contain alcohol though (just so you know).. but I didn't notice her bumping into the table or anything LOL!!

I use it all the time. If you or a horse is in really deep shock, take two drops on da tounge every twenty mins, I would give your horse the remidy a few hours to a day before the show. They really work, I know quite alot on Bach remidies, Ive been doing research on them, and as soon as i pass my driving test im going to do a course so i can treat horses professionaly(sp?). You can also put a few drops on the back of your hand and see if the horse will lick it off, horses generaly know whats good for them, and what they need.
