I would love for you to if you dont mind! I show in class 109 Arabian Hunter Pleasure 18-39 AAOTR. It will be pretty late, like 8-8:30, I am the second to last (I think) on Friday night. I will let you know what my # is tomorrow, I left it at the show grounds. Maybe we could meet up and say hello. I would love to show costume! I think I am going to do it next year. Working on HP for Nationals this year.

Oh, I am with Mystic Plains Arabians. Forgot you asked that, I got so excited about the pics! We are in the barn where the Watt Arena is. We only have two horses at this show. Mine and My Trainer's. We would love for you to come by if you want to! I will be there every night this week schooling.

Shell, Arabian Sport Horse In Hand Classes are nothing like the Class A Arabian Halter Classes, so do read and study the rules.

Horses 3 years and older are shown in a bridle, which is optional for a 2 year old. Horses not being shown in a bridle are shown in a plain leather stable halter. Not a Arabian Show Halter.

Handlers will dress differently too. You have 3 options, but which you wear depends on how you are showing your horse.

You will be showing your horse on either a V or triangle pattern. The pattern and routine will be posted and you will need to find it, and read and learn it before it is your turn to enter the ring.

The horses are also stood up differently than in the regular halter classes. Horses must stand in what is called the "OPEN POSITION"... all 4 legs must be visiable, the horse's head and neck held natural, the handler away from the horse, the lead loose, with slack.

Here is the link to the rule book...the Arabian Sport Horse section is down the page a little ways:

My horse is a bay Egyptian related gelding. He has some Polish blood on his Dam side so he is bigger than the typical Egyptian. He is 14, but doesnt act it! He unfortunately has a brand on his left shoulder. The lady who owned him before me did it! Anyway, he is a wonderful hunter! He just loves to jump, no jumping at this show though. He is firey and very proud, a little nervous today, but he will settle in. Our stall # is 5094, well one of them. Helped me find it today. Please come by! I would love to meet you and my horse would too! His name is Comandeoro, Mr. C for short.

wow very awesome! I REALLY wish our region has hunter/jumper classes. I heard they may be adding them in the future nowo that the sport horse has been divided into a different show. Erica and I will definatly stop by, I would love to see your boy!!! Wish I was showing so much. Wish I had an arab to show still, showing on the arab circut was so much fun! Good luck at the show!!
