Reflections of a good year.....

Well it's almost time again, the time of year when I work for my horses instead of them working for me. This morning while I was cleaning stalls in the freezing muck I took a few minutes to think about what a great year we've had. For the first time in my whole life I've got the whole horsey package--my dream horse (when she wants to be lol) that I got a year and a half ago, a nice horse trailer I bought last fall, and finally this spring--the truck!!!!! My daughter had a really good show season with her mare, the two of them are finally starting to click (guess I can kiss next summer's Saturdays away already..) My war on the pasture is finally swinging my way after 3 years of back breaking work (reclaiming 4 acres of steep hillside that needs cleared by hand). My family, two and four legged, is happy and healthy. Life is good. This winter when you're slogging through the chores in frigid temps take a moment to think about the good things, they'll warm your soul.
