That seems to put a screeching halt that nonsense in my experience.

Secondly, she may be coming into her first FULL season since it's April and may be more hormonal then she's been since you said she's been a bit more 'wired' for the past week.

Third, I personally do not feel ANY of the fly control feed throughs are a good idea as you ARE putting poisen daily into your horse, just something to think about.

Lastly, she could indeed have a food sensitivity issue. Can you get LMF in your area? They're sold in CA, just don't know if you have access to it, If so, you might try their Gentle Balance which has ZERO grain products in it and when I blended it with their Gold formula (which does have grains) I have had great results with Dancer on keeping up good weight and not getting to hot. THE RB route was not enough extra cals for Dancer she drastically lost weight even with RB and alfalfa pellets added in so when I swapped my program for her to this, I got a huge improvement.

Also I believe TC has a non-grain formulation as well... TC is JUST now entering our market here in the NW so I don't personally have feeding experience with them but have heard many good things.
THanks Karyn!

I think she was in heat, although it's harder to tell with her because Porscha is such a hussy, and she isn't.

I'll have to look up LMF feeds. The RB I know doesn't help much with weight, but I was just hoping maybe she was lacking nutritionally and once she got some good nutrition into her she'd gain weight. She is, but not fast enough for me. She won't eat beet pulp, so I can't use that.

So LMF, could I still feed TC's RB, and just add in LMF's higher caloric feed?

I believe TC makes an all forage, fat fortiefied product not dissimilar to Gentle Balance so perhaps you can add that into her ration?

Buckeye - no known dealers within 250 miles of my zip.

Progressive - same thing.

Kent - same thing.

ADM - I just sent them an e-mail asking, since they don't have a Dealer Locater search for their Equine Products.

All we basically have is Triple Crown! I think a few offer OH Kruse, though. *goes to look*

You're probably thinking about Low Starch.

It's a complete feed, but would be okay to feed in the 8ish lb range with alfalfa hay.

If the issue did happen to be soy though. I think that all TC products contain soy. Then again, there's a lot of possibility that it's not soy as well. Might take some experimenting to see.

I can't remember, will she eat BOSS? I think you tried it and no, but can't remember.

Another grain free product they have is TC Senior.
