Triple Crown is a good choice.
As to if you need something else on top of it...it really depends on the horse. Generally, I consider normal to easy keepers are fine on the ration balancer alone. I like a little extra calories for most other horses...including growing horses. I add a little rice bran (1-2 cups/day). If they need other supplements or more calories, then I add beet pulp. I especially like beet pulp or something soaked like forage cubes as it helps hydrate then and adds warmth in winter. They also all get flax. Alternatives to these things would be: bagged hay/show chaff, alfalfa or mixed forage cubes/pellets and BOSS.
