Question Question about shade/shelter in pasture

We have the horses split right now because we didn't want Mystic who is only 3 1/2 weeks old to be with the two other horses. The way it is split allows Mystic and McKenna to come in to the shed for shelter/shade as they want. That is the only option on this part of the pasture. The other part (where Duece and Sugar are) has trees and this is there option for shade which of course they use often. I have noticed that McKenna has not chosen to come with Mystic to the shed much at all except at feeding time. She will be drenched with sweat. The heat and humidity must be unbearable. Not to mention the fact that she has only been turned out 24/7 for the last week. Should I not worry and know that if she wants shade she will find it or should I move her to an area with more shade options.

Am I worrying to much,
Deb

If it really starts to bother her she should go in.But she might be uncomfortable in the shed. There are no trees in her pen??

No, We thought that she would be fine coming in and out of shed. She can see where her stall is. There for a awhile she really liked going back in her stall with the baby - I quess security. No other shade in the pasture.

She may not be goin the the shed because it is hotter in there than it is standing outside. I know my mare would much rather stand out under shade trees and feel the cool breeze when we do have one. Then there are some horses no matter how hot or nasty it is outside wont go in a shed and stay there...I guess the like it out too much lol.

Funniest thing - after posting that she never goes in the shed I went to the barn to check on the horses. The pastures are right next to the barn. Mckenna and Mystic were in the shed. Last night when I went to saddle up Deuce they were in the barn and again this am.

I guess I have my answer - she'll go if she wants. lol
Thanks for the input
