I wanted to clean under it. And now I can't get them bakc on. Can anyone give me a hint on what I need to do?

Can't get the blades back on? Did the little tab snap closed on you?

The blade has a silver bracket on the back of it.
It slides onto the silver piece on the body of the clippers.
If the silver piece on the body of the clippers isn't pulled out away from the body just a bit, so that it will accept the blade, use flat blade dull knife to apply light pressure and pop it away from the body of the clippers.
The clipper should be running before you snap the blades back into place.
When you put the blade on the tongue, don't push it back. Start the motor and then push the blade back into position. This helps get everything aligned properly.

I had the same thing happen with mine. We did exactly what she said... used a knife blade to put up the part the blade slips on... put the blade on started clippers and snaped it in place... Mule was trimmed, photoed, videoed and sold. :-)

You won't want a skip tooth blade. That blade leaves a 1/4 inch and is used for taking down dogs before baths. For horses you'd use anything between a 50 and a 7F.

So do the go from small to larger in size? If so which end does it start on? Sorry I have no clue. Really all I will be doing to bridle pathes and a it on the muzzle, around the eyes, and maybe a few ears.

50 is 1/125th of an inch. The larger the number, the closer the cut For muzzles, bridle paths, and ears I use a 50 or 40 (or even a 35). For leg whites I use a 15 or 10 and dark legs I use a 10.
