Quarter Horses need new home's (FREE and pics added post #5)
FREE TO GOOD HOME!
I finally convinced my Grandpa to let the horses he has been keeping for quiet a few years go. They are all Quarter horse crosses (sorry don't remember the other breed I think it was a gated horse). 2 have very little training the other used to pull a cart but it has been years since she has even been out of the pen. They need new homes as there hoof work has been seriously neglected and they are walking around in there own filth since my grandpa will not let them out of the barn all winter (wont clean much either) The pastures are beautiful during the summer so they work down a lot of the excess hoof growth but it is not enough. They have also never been to the vet or had deworming treatment ever! (they are all healthy and fat)
I will get pics as soon as I can, I was there today and had the camera but just my luck the camera dies before I can take one pic. (I swear I checked it before I left)
All money made will be used to correct the donkeys serious hoof problems and to get vaccines and an eye exam for the mare I want to keep as I am afraid she might be slowly going blind
.
descriptions (Free to good home, donations to get the donkey feet care and CoStarr's eyes vet checked welcome)
Rio
Gender: stallion
age: 10?
training: slight leading
color: bay
size: 14-15hh
seller notes
This boy as an absolutely beautiful stallion he has an amazing conformation and beautiful main and tail. He has potential and as far as I know he has never attacked anyone. He can be a bit mouthy.
Cinnamon
Gender: mare
age: 5-8yr
color: bay with white star
size: 15hh
Training: slight leading
Seller Notes
This girl can be a handful since she likes to nip and is very active (has kicked my grandfather) She has beautiful main and tail and would make a great jumper/cross country horse when trained.
Star
gender: mare
age: 20?
color: dark brown w/ white star
size: 14-15hh
training: cart and leading
Seller Notes
this old girl still has spunk left in her and does not show her age at all. I thought she was maybe 10yr till I learned she was still around before my parents got married (20 years ago). It is possible she can be used for light cart work or just a pasture buddy, your choice.
These horses are PROJECT horses so no beginner horse people please, unless you provide proof that you have a trainer who will work on them. There will be a contract to sign that states you will never send them to a Slaughter plant and if they need to be sold I will be informed and offered the chance to buy them back (sorry I have serious fears of them ending up at an auction)

What are the chances that the mares and donkey are bred? Have they ever had their feet worked on? I was at a sale tonight and registered yearling and 2 year olds with good ground manners were selling for $10 and $15. You may want to rethink the $100, just to get them in homes since they will come with vet bills, training and farrier work. Good luck with them. I hope they find what they need.

there is 0 chance that the donkey or mares are bred since the stallion is in a different secure pen that is not connected to the mare's and donkey pen.
I would be more then willing to lower the price to below 100.00 or Free to good home, as long as I knew they where going to a place that would take good care of them. Like I said the Donkey needs major hoof work done and the mare I want to keep needs a vet check for her eyes. But if I got an offer from someone to do all that I would be happy to give them the mare or the donkey.

Where are you at? I'd love to take that stallion. I got a soft spot for the stud horses.

I am in Racine County Wisconsin. I could possibly trailer him to the new location but I would possibly need gas money to get him there.
