**Sold!*** QH Gelding for sale: safe, sound, sweet and handsome

Well its come time for me to sell my gelding. His name is Max.. he is a 12 year old Quarter horse. he is NOT registered. i was told by the woman i bought him from that he was eligible to be registered and she would send the papers and then she started ignoring me when i asked for them. He is about 15.3 and is black with a white Star, thin strip and snip. He is a nice safe horse and takes care of his rider. he also likes to jump, i did have jumping fears and he took care of me over the jumps. hes great on the flat.. he has never taken off with me. he is due for his shots and will have them done before sold. he does have thin hoof walls so does need shoes in the front.. i dont currently have them on in the back but probably could use them. he has had them on since the age of 4 on all 4 feet and just recently had them removed when i purchased him in December of 2007.

He has a very great temperment.. he can always make me laugh.. its hard to part with him but i just cant afford him anymore and am barely out to ride and its not fair to him or me for him to be sitting around.

He was used as a hunter before i bought him and i rode him english and havnt shown him yet. he was shown with his previous owner. he was mainly a pleasure horse for me and did great.. he is truely a pleasure to ride.

He doesnt crib.. good for clipping, bathing, tacking, trailering, etc.

I'm asking about $2,000 for him.. like i said hes not registered and im not looking to make money.. i just want him to go to a good home where he will be loved and taken care of. if i dont sell him by the time my friend leaves for school for the fall i will probably donate him to her college.

if you have any questions about Max.. feel free to ask anything. i'm not afraid to mention his faults.. i'm very truthful when it comes to selling. you can ask about him on here or email me at justine.louise7@gmail.com.

I will also be selling my tack and all my supplies such as shampoo, polo wraps, standing wraps and much more.. if someone is interested in purchasing Max and a saddle and everything with him.. i wouldnt mind doing a package deal for a little extra.

Thanks for looking and here are a few pics.. more can be found in my gallary.. these were taken this winder and some in March for his birthday.

located near Harrisburg PA.

well if it comes down to it.. his price is negotiable if i cant find anyone interested. like i said.. i might end up donating him to a school.. i'm only posting him on here and telling people locally.. its to hard for me to post him up on dreamhorse and equine and everything.. hes my baby and i'll miss him.. i want to find someone that will let me come see him and possibly still ride him if i get the chance to.

and for the registering him.. i cant get ANY info about his parents from the woman.. i think she was lying to me the whole time.

Do you think he would be suitable for a lesson program? Does he have any vices? If I can't get him for just myself, I may be able to talk to my BO about buying him together and he could maybe be used for some lessons a couple of times a week for the good riders. (I would completely understand if you didn't want him in that kind of situation though)

i think he would do great for lessons.. he was my horse but my friend would always ride him.. she is a better rider then me and i was scared to jump him so i had her jump him a few times first to make sure he wouldnt run off on me.. and he didnt at all by the way.. he doesnt have any vices.. the only thing is if he gets to many treats he can get greedy and mouthy.. i only give him 1 or 2 after riding sometimes.

he would do well with beginner to advanced riders.. i'm a little timid myself and he took care of me and my friends is a great rider and she can get him to do alot of stuff i never could.

i dont use chains unless im at a show.. i put the bridle on in the pasture and bring him in that way when riding.. when hes let out and in to his stall.. they just let their horses walk in and out.. they all know where their stall is.. hes good on the ground.. hes not the best back-er though .
