Proud Mama

I am so proud of little May today. I went out to groom and pick Gabby's hoves and of course, I got checked out by May. I decided to try picking her feet. She stood still and let me do all 4 feet without a fuss, no halter!! I am so happy with her progress at 6 days old. Biased, I know, but what can I say.

PS. I am feeding Gabby 2 qrts Safe choice, 2 qrts Purena Senior, 2 qrts barley (3xday)and all you can eat hay. Any other suggestions how to get the weight back on her? She got sick this winter and lost about 100 lbs, then when I just about got her weight back, the foal decided to be late and put a drain on her and she started loosing weight again. She is not loosing weight now, but I do not like slim/skinny horses. They are SUPPOSED to round and slick.

After baby (taken yesterday)

Befor baby (taken last fall)

Suggestions please.

Thanks,

Dawn
