Wonderful. More fighting. I did not read through this entire thing as I wasn't interested in the bickering. However, for my two cents, its not an illegal round up. Cloud's herd is just the same as any other BLM herd, except that they got DOCUMENTED. They will be rounded up, and then adopted out to new homes. In a home with a human, "trapped in captivity", they will receive consistent food, health care, a safe, secure place to sleep without the danger of mountain lions, etc. and most likely will get loving from humans, scratches, a warm blanket in the winter, vaccinations so they don't die a slow death of a completely avoidable disease, wormer so they don't die a slow death by being full of parasites, etc. Believe it or not, MOST captive horses are not kept in a stall 24/7. Most are out on pasture. Granted, the field they roam in captivity is smaller than in the wild, but its also less dangerous, much more lush and full of food...and those horses will probably think they died and went to HEAVEN. Some may be killed because not all of them can be adopted, but personally I think being euthanized would be nicer than starving to death this coming winter, which allot of them probably would have. Instead of *deleted* about them being rounded up, go and adopt one. Go make people aware they are available if you can't adopt one and convince people who CAN get one, to go and get one! Geez. Bleeding hearts of America UNITE! (That is sarcastic). I am tired of left wing nutjobs raising fits about something they don't really know anything about, or ASSUME they know everything about...or who KNOW about horses but still have this ridiculous "let them live in freedom train of thought". Are you retarded? Last edited by Shotgun93; 09-11-2009 at 06:48 AM. |

Oh come on now. GROW UP! I wasn't calling ANYONE in particular retarded. I was stating an opinion. So I'm not as sweet and polite as most of the people on this board think they are. Deal with it. I wasn't trying to pick a fight. I didn't read a single thing in this thread besides the first two posts and one other post with bickering between a couple of people. I am not trying to pick on anyone, I'm just stating my opinion. Maybe its harsh and blunt, but if you let that hurt your feelings then you are a little too sensitive. In other words, it wasn't directed at anyone, it was directed at the idea that living in the wild is some sort of wonderful, blissful thing that horses just love to death. Let me rephrase it if it makes anyone feel better. Instead of "Are you retarded?" I should have said, "The idea is retarded." If you have that idea and then feel like I am calling you retarded indirectly, I am not. A smart person can have a retarded idea. Doesn't make the idea LESS retarded, IN MY OPINION....and the very fact that I find the idea that some people think living wild is all roses and sugar cubes is retarded shouldn't offend anyone but the most sensitive people who need to grow a thicker skin....especially when nothing was directed at any one person. And BTW, BettyBootsy: I didn't call YOU retarded. I have not read a single thing you have posted. I have no idea what your opinion is on the matter and don't intend to go back and read it, so you have no fear of me calling you, personally, retarded, or anyone on this forum. Stormyheart: I am not attempting to incite bickering, so don't go accusing me of such things. Again, I never read what any of you typed, I just expressed my opinion on the Cloud situation. I wasn't calling any of you HERE "left wing nutjobs" or "retarded"...If you think you apply to those labels and I somehow came on here and was shooting insults at you, then you are sorely mistaken and need to stop jumping to conclusions. I don't think all left wing people are nutjobs, but I do think there are WAY to many, and those people are ALL leftwing RADICALS. They are insane. Rightwing radicals are just as insane. Radical anythings are ridiculous and run around screaming about their beliefs and attempting to cram their BS down people's throats. Do I hate left wing nutjobs? YES! Was I calling ANY of you left wing nutjobs? NO! |

| Senior Member+ | I honestly don't see how this round-up is different than any other, the horses that get adopted usually have great lives. I have to say that Calling people/ideas retarded is very offensive to a more than a few people on this board. Please watch what you say and keep other people in mind.

I think this thread has served it's purpose, and it might be time to lay this one to rest. If you don't like the "radicals" in this thread, the SIMPLE solution is to NOT read it. Really easy thing to do....just don't click on the title. Yes, we get very charged up over threads like this....both sides of this issue have very strong and passionate opinions on it. Who are you to tell any of us, here or anywhere else what we should do???? I don't see "moderator" under your name????

Wow...I'm out. There's a play ground across the street with a higher level of maturity than this thread is now displaying.

Okay, that's enough name-calling and mud slinging for a while. Thank you all for your wonderful maturity on this thread.
