hello y'all!
my name is Palmer Smith and I am a poet who is currently working with Henry Patton, a talented horse painter. we are working together to try to raise money for a horse rescue in Georgia. We donate as much of our profits as possible to the program.
I have 5 prints available for sale.
13x19 for $50
9x11 for $30
the portait available is of a white mare named Jitterbug who was rescued from a terrible fate.

We are located in Canton, GA.
The name of the rescue is Northwinds and the website is savethehorses.org if anyone would like to donate or if they are interested in adopting or fostering a horse.
Henry Patton is a local artist here in Canton and he is fanominal. He's very personable and if you would like, feel free to contact him. He even did a painting of me and my old horse and he is always happy to do a painting for anyone who is interested.
Henry and I always want to donate as much as possible to the rescue while still paying our bills so every little bit helps

In some cases, we donate an entire oil painting to the rescue and we auction it off to help the animals.

Is this rescue fairly new ? I'm curious and off to look .....since the distance from me is not that great.

I don't think it is. Henry has been painting the horses for a while now. and it's one if the biggest rescues in the SE if not THE biggest.
it's also known as the Horse Rescue, Relief, and Retirement Fund, Inc. too I think. Henry works more with then than I do bc I live so far away (an hour atleast) but I don't object to donating of course.

and I also figured that some of you might would like to know about the horses you'd be helping...
Tabbey is a 14 yr old QH gelding. when I found him he was covered in mud from head to toe. his hind quarters were withering away from all the time he wasn't given any exercise. his owners would not pay his bills. he hadn't been ridden in over a year and he hadn't been given much attention in 5 years. he was miserable and now has many bills for sore back hooves and joint problems.
Gracie is grey filly. she was found on the side of a highway. she had been hit by a car. she now is recovering from a broken shoulder and requires surgery.
we also have a mare who is need of catarac surgery before she goes blind and has no hope of recovering her sight.

haha yeah, the name of the actual farm is Northwinds but the program goes by the big long name.
