you've had your days full of worry and news. You did a very heroic thing by getting this mare. You were delt with mare in foal under ill circumstances.
unfortunatly goods things don't always turn out the way u plan. Do everything you can and keep positive and we are all here for you. Keep in touch.

If that concerned about the mare, why not abort? At 2 months, its fairly easy.

Helpahorse is doing her best with what they've been delt. It's a rescue not a clinic. Their doing everything they can for mare under circumstance. She came in prego and nobody new how far along she was. She was recued.

I am fully aware that its a rescue and not a clinic. I am fully aware that she is helping the mare. However, she has expressed her concern for the well being of the mare. She has expressed concern that the mare cannot handle this pregnancy and birth. Its hard enough to re-hab a horse much less a pregnant one. This is from experience. What about when she foals and has to nurse the foal...that takes a lot of a mare...more so then the pregnancy usually. I have one of the more expensive vets and it would cost less then $100.00 to terminate this pregnancy..LESS once he finds out its a rescue cause and not an opps. At this stage, its nothing more then a rectal and pinch with one follow up call to re-check. Its the responsible thing to do for this mare.

mabey it won't be a $100.00 and mabey she's to far along to "PINCH" too long into preg isn't a good risk for either mare or foal. I'm not against aborting foals but this case it's up to rescue and FUNDS are needed it's volunteer work.Hope she mare makes out ok and foal too.
