Pray for Sable...

Sable is my cousins horse. She foundered thursday. From the way I hear it, she foundered BAD.

She went down and wouldnt get back up. She called the vet out so now Sable will get up when Diane asks her to but the minute she leaves she lays back down and stays down. We are worried about her.

Please pray that Sable makes it through and will still be sound.

A horse that is foundering that critically should not be encouraged to stand. Poor girl, thoughts and prayers for a full recovery. Founder is just horrible

I'm not sure how she's doing. The vet gave my cousin some meds to give to her. I havent talked to my cousin. I may go back there tomorrow if I see her outside and see how Sable is doing.

well an update.

she is really bad. I went back and looked at her today. she was laying completely flat when I walked into the barn. She got to her feet though when i saw her. Her feet are terrible and she stood and she looked like she was in alot of pain. I didnt ask diane about her. we were too busy getting the hay and everything.
