Well before firefly's foot problems I was looking into boarding her at this small private stable, now she's looking like her future is in being a companion horse because of the combination of her abscese (i have no idea how to spell that) and (accidental) pregnancy... well the woman who owns the stable has a morab (1/2 morgan 1/2 arab) mare who takes more work than the woman has time for (she's recovering from a major surgury and change in lifestyle) and was thinking about a companion horse for her gelding, but didnt want to sell her mare since shes seen a lot of the things that can go wrong. Well for the next few months I'm going to be leasing her since I can't ride firefly, and get to do some shows and what not, but the woman really loved the way I was working with her mare and adores firefly so she mentioned a swap. I love the idea because our mares would be boarded together, so we'd both get to see them all the time and she's wonderful and I know firefly would love retiring to her property.

So in sharing that good piece of news I also have a question... what would be a pretty color for a flaxen chestnut?

I would have to say red or blue for the color.
