Post your most embarassing showing moment!

Mine was the first summer I had Sam

We entered "Show Hunter" - just for the fun of it. Our next class was to be "Family Horse"

Anyway we were going ok - he was a bit hyper, a few little bucks at the start of group canter, but nothing too serious

So it came time for the judge to ride the horses - we were last in the line up so far (no surprise there - lol)

She got on and "WOOOSH!" he took off with her like a bat out of the hot place. She was four times round the ring at a skelping pace with a few huge bucks before she got him under control!

She was a bit pale as she handed him back to me -(understatement!)

Anyway - we didnt win (oh dear) and when we came back to compete in Family Horse it was the same judge and she refused to let him compete saying he wasnt safe!

I was pretty red faced as I left the ring in shame for a second time in the same day!

LMAO!!!!! thats sooooo funny!! bless your heart! lol

i have had toooo many.....but i remeber one when i was about 9 and i was riding this little nutty welsh A, and it was one of her first shows. well i was warming up for first ridden and she just bolted. i think i must have run over about 3 horses and about 10 people!!! i couldnt stop and nearly the whole show was trying to grab the reins or do something.....lol one of the fastests rides i ever had!! lol

and nearly the same thing happened to me in working hunter sammy!!! the judge got on to ride her ( we called the judge mr mustard becasue he ALWAYS wore a mustard coat....and was notorious for riding horses....well....not too well! lol)
well minne saw this mustard thing on her back and went....lol goodbye mr mustard!! lol

My most embarassing moment would have to be when the horse I was riding and me parted ways over a jump in hunter hack because I lost a stirrup over the first and didn't have enough sense to drop the other one since I couldn't pick up the dropped one in time. I think what made it worse is that I was soo short that to get back up, I had to show the judge how I cheated... I lowered the stirrup to the last hole so it was real long, got up then had to adjust my stirrup to regular length.

Well I didn't place in the class... but I did get the sweetheart award at the end of the day because I didn't beat up my horse after I got back on like a lot of riders do.

I think my most embarassing show moment was when I went in a halter class and it had a pattern- but I didnt know it! So I just trotted around like a re.tard.

This is also a very embarassing picture from after a halter class...(My expression is like ***?)

Mine is probably the time Raps 'blew up' in a Western Pleasure class, from stress I guess. He lost his mind at a jog, quarter turned so his butt was facing the stands, and hopped down the rail line sideways. There was some poor guy on a textbook 15h chestnut Qtr Horse between Raps & the rail, and Raps' 16.2 butt is keeping pace with the QHs jog.The guy was 3 shades of white, and had to be thinking "one kick and we're going into the bleachers." I got Raps straightened out with help from a corner, but that was a stunt I'll never forget. ..I don't think the sidehop is a recognized dressage move..

Everyone was watching and laughing. Cringe,

The only thing that I can think of was at a playday. We were doing the race with the cup of water, who ever made to one end of the areana and back the fastest with the most water wins. Well my horse has the race part down but not the smooth part, she bolted to one end of the areana and back. Yes we did make it back first but the cup of water didn't fare so well I crushed it in the first 2 second of the race. Everyone had a good laugh, everyone but me.
