How about the very rare Knabstrup?

There are quite a few cremello warmbloods available now. By using one of them you'd at least be guaranteed a dilute, as long as the mares aren't gray.

You're right, I had my mind on registration with a WB registry

But yes, if the mare is nice enough, getting her approved with a WB registry that also has approved the stallion of choice will give the foal a MUCH larger market, and while it may not be right, if it's a filly, the price of the foal could go up a fair amount.

Hey, what's wrong about that? I like money!

I'm all about improving the value of my horses. I would like for them to have the largest market that they possibly can should I ever need to sell them, and for this "future" baby in particular who would be bred with sale in mind, a good inspection would be a big plus. I've just got to work out the particulars (not experienced with warmbloods or their registries) and in the mean time, get my two girls registered and inspected (they're already registered with AHA... well, the mare is and the filly is pending).

LOL, yep, who doesn't like money when it's coming in!

If you are interested in WB approval, don't bother with AWR or AWS. Look at the true WB registries the stallion(s) of your choice are approved with (not registered, but APPROVED, huge difference) and then look into what it would take to get your mare approved with that one.

If you want a wide range of opinions on whether your mare is of the quality that a WB registry would like, post a good conformation and movement shot of her on COTH Breeding forum and you'll get opinions, whether you like them or not But there are a lot of knowledgeable breeders out there.

I've plastered pictures of her all over the internet in the past for conformation critiques, including here... I try to stay away from the constant snark on COTH.

Hm... might try to get new pictures of her sometime soon. It seems that all of my pictures of here when she's NOT fat and pregnant have flown the coop! She's a big lump of marshmellow goo right now.

I know, it can get pretty ugly around there sometimes.

But, if you approach the thread with a GOOD picture, even if she's pregnant, tell her history, including breed, you will get some really good information on why she is or isn't the type that this or that or any WB registry will go for. They can look past the pregnancy issues, as they have seen enough nice pregnant mares to know the difference. It's not so much as looking for a conformation critique, but looking for a critique as it relates to RPSI or OLD/NA approval.

I saw a few occurances of OLD/NA acronyms over there when I was browsing earlier... what do they stand for?

Have been checking out the RHPSI site this morning as well. Art Deco is approved for Book 1 there, so that seemed like a reasonable place to start. Not much information on how the inspections run on the site, though!

I'll check out COTH sometime this week. Need to get her spiffed up and clip her whiskers for that crowd! She's over-due for a little pampering anyway. Poor thing. Allure's been getting all the camera time lately!
